GILSTON GROUP (02011.HK): Supreme People’s Court Dismisses Defendant’s Appeal in Final Judgment, Upholds Original Verdict; Defendant Ordered to Pay Compensation of RMB600,000
NewTimeSpace News: Gilston Group Limited (02011.HK) announced on 24 July that the Supreme People’s Court rendered a final judgment ruling against the defendant in a patent infringement lawsuit and upheld the original verdict. The defendant is required to pay compensation of RMB600,000. The Company stated that the judgment will not impact its financial position.
NewTimeSpace News: On 24 July 2026, Gilston Group Limited (02011.HK) issued a voluntary announcement. The Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China delivered a final judgment in respect of the relevant patent infringement litigation, dismissing the defendant’s appeal and upholding the original judgment rendered by the Guangzhou Intellectual Property Court.
The defendant shall cease manufacturing, selling and offering for sale products infringing the relevant invention patent right, and jointly and severally pay compensation for economic losses of RMB500,000 and reasonable expenses of RMB100,000 to the plaintiff, totalling RMB600,000. This is a final judgment and no further appeal may be lodged.
The Company advised that the final judgment and payment of compensation will not exert any material adverse impact on the financial position or operating results of the Group.
