NewTimeSpace News: MEILAN AIRPORT (00357.HK) announced on 21 July that its controlling shareholder Hainan Airport Facilities Co., Ltd. pledged 118.75 million unlisted domestic shares (25.09% of total share capital) as collateral for its M&A loan financing. The controlling shareholder holds an aggregate 62.38% stake in the Company. The pledge is not provided as security for the Company’s own indebtedness.
NewTimeSpace News: On 21 July 2026, MEILAN AIRPORT (00357.HK) issued an announcement. The Company was informed on the same date that Hainan Airport Facilities Co., Ltd., its controlling shareholder, has pledged 118,750,000 unlisted domestic shares held in the Company to several domestic Chinese banks as collateral for the controlling shareholder’s M&A loan facilities.
As at the date of the announcement, the controlling shareholder holds an aggregate of 295,182,587 shares in the Company directly and through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, representing approximately 62.38% of the issued share capital of the Company. The pledged shares account for roughly 25.09% of the Company’s issued share capital as at the announcement date. The Company clarified that the share pledge is not provided to secure any liabilities or obligations of the Company and therefore falls outside the scope of Listing Rule 13.17.
