Xinyi Solar (00968.HK): Interim Net Profit Plunged to No More Than RMB 50 Million

NewTimeSpace News: Xinyi Solar announced on 17 July that the Group expects its net profit for the first half of 2026 to slump sharply to no more than RMB 50 million, or it may record a net loss of up to RMB 50 million.

NewTimeSpace News: On 17 July 2026, Xinyi Solar (00968.HK) issued a profit warning, forecasting that its interim net profit will drop drastically to no more than RMB 50 million, or the Group may register a net loss capped at RMB 50 million.

The announcement stated that the decline in profitability is mainly attributable to the solar glass business suffering from supply-demand imbalance and falling product prices amid a sharp drop in downstream installed capacity. The revenue shrinkage caused by lower sales volume and selling prices cannot be offset by the decrease in raw material costs.
