UNITED LAB (03933.HK): Receives US$13.5 Million Milestone Payment from Novo Nordisk for UBT251
NewTimeSpace News: UNITED LAB (03933.HK) announced that its subsidiary United Biotech received US$13.5 million milestone payment (after Danish withholding tax) from Novo Nordisk for completing global Phase II clinical trial of UBT251 injection for overweight and obesity indication. Under the previously executed exclusive licence agreement, United Biotech is eligible for potential milestone payments of up to US$1.8 billion plus tiered royalties on sales.
NewTimeSpace News: UNITED LAB(03933.HK) issued a voluntary announcement on 16 July 2026. On 15 July 2026, United Biotech received US$13,500,000 milestone payment (net of Danish withholding tax) from Novo Nordisk in relation to the global Phase II clinical development milestone of UBT251 injection for the indication of overweight and obesity.
UBT251 is a triple agonist targeting GLP-1 receptor, GIP receptor and glucagon receptor. It is under clinical development for the treatment of obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus and other disorders. Pursuant to the exclusive licence agreement entered into with Novo Nordisk on 24 March 2025, United Biotech is entitled to potential development and sales milestone payments of up to US$1.8 billion upon achievement of specified milestones, as well as tiered royalties calculated based on annual net sales in relevant territories.
