The parties intend to leverage Rani’s proprietary RaniPill® oral biologic delivery platform to develop oral formulations for multiple innovative candidates targeting obesity and metabolic disorders, pursuing formulation differentiation based on multi-target metabolic modulators and long-acting pipeline assets. The MOU is valid for three years and non-binding; formal agreements will be executed for specific projects.

Relying on Rani’s proprietary RaniPill® oral biologic delivery platform, both parties plan to conduct oral formulation screening and preclinical development for multiple innovative candidate assets of the Company for obesity and metabolic diseases. The collaboration targets advancing the most promising candidates into clinical development, while exploring R&D, manufacturing and commercialisation cooperation in markets outside China.
Rani specialises in biologics and oral drug delivery. Its RaniPill® platform enables oral capsule delivery of biologics that conventionally require injection or infusion. The cooperation covers the Company’s multi-target metabolic modulators and long-acting platform assets, aiming to expand competitive advantages from molecular differentiation to formulation differentiation. The MOU has a three-year validity term and is not legally binding. Separate formal agreements will be signed for specific programmes.
