BAIYUNSHAN PH (00874.HK): Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate Injection (1ml:5mg) of Controlled Subsidiary Passes Generic Consistency Evaluation
NewTimeSpace News: BAIYUNSHAN PH (00874.HK) announced on 9 July that Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate Injection (1ml:5mg) manufactured by its controlled subsidiary Tianxin Pharmaceutical has passed the generic drug consistency evaluation. The domestic sales of this specification reached RMB236 million in 2025. The Group invested approximately RMB3.1678 million in relevant R&D. The approval is expected to boost product competitiveness, while uncertainties remain in production and sales.
NewTimeSpace News: On 9 July 2026, Guangzhou Baiyunshan Pharmaceutical Holdings Company Limited (00874.HK) issued an announcement. Guangzhou Baiyunshan Tianxin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., the Group’s controlled subsidiary, received the Approval Notice for Supplementary Drug Application issued by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), confirming that Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate Injection (1ml:5mg) has passed the consistency evaluation of quality and efficacy for generic drugs.
The medicine is mainly indicated for allergic and autoimmune inflammatory disorders, including connective tissue diseases, active rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus erythematosus and other conditions. Tianxin Pharmaceutical submitted the consistency evaluation application in December 2024, which was subsequently accepted.
According to Menet data, domestic sales of Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate Injection (1ml:5mg) across urban and county public hospitals, urban retail pharmacies and online pharmacies totalled RMB236 million in 2025. The Group invested roughly RMB3.1678 million in R&D for this project, and Tianxin Pharmaceutical generated sales revenue of RMB2.8365 million from this product in 2025. The Company stated that passing the consistency evaluation will help strengthen the product’s market competitiveness; nevertheless, uncertainties persist in production and sales due to national policies, market environment and other factors.
