Junshi Biosciences (01877.HK): Signs Licensing Agreement with Fosun Wampo; Receives RMB215 Million Upfront and Up to RMB1.125 Billion Milestones
Shanghai Junshi Biosciences Co., Ltd. (1877.HK) announced that on June 30, 2026, it entered into a licensing agreement with Fosun Wampo (Jiangsu) Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fosun Pharmaceutical, granting Fosun Wampo the rights to develop, register, manufacture, and commercialize ruoqikqibart (JS005, anti-IL-17A monoclonal antibody) in Greater China.
Under the agreement, Junshi will receive an upfront payment of RMB215 million (tax-inclusive) that is non-creditable and non-refundable, and will be eligible for development and sales milestone payments of up to RMB1.125 billion (tax-inclusive), as well as tiered double-digit percentage royalties on net sales in Greater China. The royalty period extends to the latest of: 15 years from the first commercial sale, expiration of all valid claims of the core molecular patents, or expiration of all regulatory exclusivity periods.
The announcement noted that ruoqikqibart has completed Phase III clinical trials in China for adult patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis, and the New Drug Application was accepted by the National Medical Products Administration in December 2025. As of the announcement date, all participants in the Phase II clinical trial for active ankylosing spondylitis had completed study follow-up.
