Culturecom Holdings (00343.HK): Profit Warning, Expected Annual Loss Widens to HK$45 Million – HK$55 Million

NewTimeSpace News: Culturecom issued a profit warning on June 29, expecting a net loss of approximately HK$45 million to HK$55 million for the year ended March 31, 2026, representing a notable widening from the prior year’s loss of around HK$28.4 million.

NewTimeSpace News: On June 29, 2026, Culturecom Holdings (00343.HK) released a profit warning. Based on an initial review of the unaudited consolidated management accounts for the current year, the Company anticipates recording a net loss of roughly HK$45 million to HK$55 million, compared with a loss of about HK$28.4 million in the preceding financial year.

The Board of Directors attributes the widened loss primarily to an impairment loss of approximately HK$23 million recognised in relation to intangible assets associated with its natural language processing business. Feilong Master, the first mass-production commercial AI smartphone project under this business, failed to achieve commercialisation; the first batch of manufactured units could not be delivered, and the relevant processing contract was terminated pursuant to a court ruling. Meanwhile, an impairment of around HK$5 million was recognised for deposits paid on intangible assets linked to the aforementioned business, stemming from a prudent outlook on the prospects of this investment.
