His consecutive tenure is about to reach six years, in compliance with the rules stipulating that independent directors of listed companies shall not serve for more than six consecutive years.

Mr. Xia Qing tendered a written resignation in accordance with relevant regulations as his six consecutive years of service are due to expire. He stepped down from the posts of Independent Non-executive Director, Chairman of the Nomination Committee, member of the Strategy Committee and member of the Audit Committee.

His resignation will take effect only after new Independent Non-executive Directors are elected at the general shareholders' meeting. Otherwise, the proportion of independent directors will fall below one third and the composition of certain special committees will fail to meet regulatory requirements.
