Samudera Shipping Line: Chartered Container Vessel "Golden Star 1" Sinks, All Crew Evacuated Safely

All crew have been rescued safely and there were no injuries or fatalities.

The company is working closely with the vessel owner, maritime authorities of Singapore and Indonesia, insurers and other relevant parties to conduct cargo salvage and implement necessary pollution prevention measures. Samudera Shipping Line expects relevant liabilities to be primarily covered by charterers' liability insurance and the shipowner's protection and indemnity insurance.
