Ascent Bridge Enters Framework Cooperation with Huanuosen to Foray into Gene Therapy Sector

NewTimeSpace News: On May 28, Singapore-listed company Ascent Bridge announced it has signed a framework cooperation agreement with Huanuosen (Shenzhen) Gene Industry. The two parties plan to set up a joint venture in Singapore, introduce Gendicine, the world's first approved cancer gene therapy drug, and build gene diagnosis and treatment centers.

NewTimeSpace News: On May 28, 2026, Ascent Bridge disclosed the signing of a framework cooperation agreement with Huanuosen to establish a joint venture named NewCo in Singapore. Ascent Bridge will hold no more than 70.1% of the shares, while Huanuosen will take a 19.9% stake, with the remaining 10% reserved for employee shareholding. Ascent Bridge is required to complete the incorporation of NewCo within three months and ensure its initial paid-in capital is no less than 20 million Singapore dollars.

According to the announcement, the joint venture will be responsible for the registration, clinical validation and commercialization of Gendicine in Singapore, as well as the construction of gene diagnosis and treatment centers in Singapore and Sanya, Hainan. Huanuosen will grant the exclusive rights of Gendicine for use in Singapore, and will receive an upfront payment of 20 million RMB, regulatory milestone payments of 30 million RMB, plus sales-based milestone payments capped at 1 billion RMB.
