Winking Studios to Acquire North American Studio Ampera,Appointing a Gaming Industry Veteran as Chief Revenue Officer

NewTimeSpace News: On March 27, 2026, Winking Studios released an announcement disclosing that it has signed a share purchase agreement with Ampera's shareholders to acquire all of its shares. According to the announcement, the transaction consideration includes CAD 525,010 in cash and the deferred issuance of 10 million ordinary shares. In addition, Winking Studios plans to issue an additional maximum of 35 million ordinary shares based on its performance and stock price targets from 2026 to 2031.

In terms of personnel, upon the completion of the transaction, Claude Bordeleau will take up the position of Chief Revenue Officer, reporting directly to CEO Johnny Jan and being responsible for the commercial strategy in Western markets. Winking Studios stated that this acquisition and personnel appointment are aligned with the company's long-term strategy. Leveraging Ampera's local team and Claude's resources, the company will strengthen cooperation with Western game manufacturers, expand its customer base, reduce the risk of customer concentration, and align with the current trend of demand for game outsourcing services.
