HCLTech Adds Three Network Automation rApps to Ericsson’s EIAP Platform Directory

NewTimeSpace News,According to a disclosure from the Singapore Exchange on March 3, HCLTech announced that its three network automation rApps (Radio Access Network applications) have been officially included in Ericsson’s rApp Directory and are compatible with Ericsson's Intelligent Automation Platform (EIAP).

NewTimeSpace News:On March 3, 2026, HCLTech announced the successful addition of its three network automation rApps (Radio Access Network applications) to Ericsson’s rApp Directory. The directory is a collection of commercial rApps built by Ericsson for its Intelligent Automation Platform (EIAP), which enables high-level network automation through intent-driven operations and fuels the development and innovation of rApps.

According to the announcement, the three rApps included this time each have a focused function, namely the Traffic Balancer rApp, the Energy Optimizer rApp and the Network Slice Optimizer rApp. Among them, the Traffic Balancer rApp can analyze network conditions and redistribute traffic to reduce congestion and latency; the Energy Optimizer rApp is able to adjust base station resources during low-traffic periods to improve energy efficiency without compromising service quality; the Network Slice Optimizer rApp can allocate physical resource blocks to support a variety of 5G network slices with distinct service-level requirements.

Hari Sadarahalli, Corporate Vice President and Global Head of Engineering and R&D Services at HCLTech, stated that these rApps demonstrate the company’s commitment to productizing network automation within standardized, open ecosystems. Leveraging Ericsson’s EIAP framework, HCLTech can deliver modular, interoperable solutions that accelerate deployment, simplify integration, and boost the efficiency of 4G and 5G networks, helping operators scale up 5G deployment and embrace autonomous networks.
