SEATRIUM LTD Successfully Delivers Next-Generation WTIV,Strengthening Core Competitiveness in the Offshore Wind Sector
NewTimeSpace News:SEATRIUM LTD issued an announcement on February 27, 2026, stating the official delivery of a next-generation Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV) to Maersk Offshore Wind (MOW). According to the announcement, the WTIV, custom-designed and built bySEATRIUM LTD, is the world’s first vessel of its kind equipped with a feeder-based installation solution. It can secure feeder vessels for the transfer of offshore wind components even in high sea states, effectively extending the operational weather window, improving installation efficiency and reducing costs. In addition, the vessel is compliant with the U.S. Jones Act and can be deployed in multiple regions worldwide.
William Gu, Executive Vice President of Seatrium Energy (Marketing), stated that this advanced WTIV marks a major step forward in driving the development of global offshore wind power. It not only demonstrates the Group’s engineering capabilities but also reinforces its core role in the construction of global offshore wind power systems.
It is reported that the vessel will set sail in March 2026 and be deployed for the first time at the Empire Wind project offshore New York, the United States, supporting the project to deliver clean and reliable energy to 500,000 households.
