NewTimeSpace News, on February 12, the manager of Singapore-listed Elite UK REIT announced that it has obtained planning approval from the Planning Committee to develop a large-scale data centre on approximately 37 acres of freehold land at Peel Park, Blackpool, UK.

NewTimeSpace News: Elite UK REIT Management Pte. Ltd., the Singapore-headquartered manager of Elite UK REIT, released an announcement on February 12, 2026, officially disclosing that it has successfully secured planning consent for the development of a data centre at the Peel Park site.

According to the announcement, the approved development site is located at Peel Park, Blackpool, UK, covering a total area of approximately 37 acres of freehold land. Among this, around 20 acres will be used for constructing a state-of-the-art data centre, while the remaining approximately 17 acres already house office buildings currently leased to the UK Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

It is reported that the manager received positive feedback from the local authority during the pre-planning phase and submitted the planning application in October 2024. Currently, the site has secured approval for a maximum power supply of 120 megavolt-amperes (MVA), providing sufficient support for the subsequent operation of the data centre.

Joshua Liaw, Chief Executive Officer of the manager, stated that this planning approval marks another milestone in the REIT's value creation strategy. It demonstrates the manager's ability to identify the unique attributes and potential of its portfolio assets and realize greater value through proactive asset repositioning.
