MAO GEPING COSMETICS CO., LTD. (01318.HK): Enters into Strategic Cooperation with Global Consumer Investment Giant L Catterton
On January 7, MAO GEPING COSMETICS CO., LTD. (01318.HK) issued a voluntary announcement, declaring that the Company has entered into a strategic cooperation framework agreement with L Catterton Asia Advisors, a globally prominent consumer investment institution.
Pursuant to the agreement, the two parties intend to reach strategic cooperation intentions in areas such as global market expansion, mergers & acquisitions and strategic investment, capital structure optimization, talent introduction and corporate governance. L Catterton will leverage its global layout and strategic partner network to assist the Group’s brands in expanding overseas premium retail channels; the two parties plan to jointly establish an equity investment fund focusing on the global high-end beauty sector.
L Catterton is a world-leading consumer investment institution, managing approximately US$39 billion in equity capital. Since 1989, it has invested in more than 300 globally renowned consumer brands in total. To the best of the Board’s knowledge, L Catterton and its ultimate beneficial owners are third parties independent of the Company and its connected persons.
The Board believes that this cooperation aligns with the Group’s long-term development goals and business strategies, which is conducive to leveraging the resource advantages of both parties, realizing complementary advantages and mutual development, and is in the overall interests of the Company and its shareholders.
