Value Gold(03081.HK) down 0.69%, BOK resumes gold buying after 13 yrs

NewTimeSpace News: as of 10:48 HKT on September 24, 2026, Value Gold ETF (03081.HK) fell 0.69% intraday to HK$20.220, with turnover of HK$16.90 million, volume of 837,400 units and a turnover rate of 0.40%.

NewTimeSpace has learned that the ETF is managed by Sensible Asset Management Hong Kong Limited and tracks the LBMA Gold Price (the London gold fixing price), with the trust fully backed by physical gold stored in Hong Kong; it is a commodity ETF. As of 10:48 HKT on September 24, the ETF had assets of HK$4.573 billion and a net asset value of HK$20.356 per unit, with 100 units per board lot.

according to China Securities Journal, the Bank of Korea has announced it will allocate official gold reserves for the first time in 13 years, to be implemented by adding gold ETF holdings. Separately, China Securities Journal reported, citing Wind data, that 14 gold-related ETFs in China total assets exceeding RMB280 billion.

Hansen, head of commodity strategy at Saxo Bank, said concerns over US fiscal conditions are changing the relationship between bond yields and gold prices, with the two increasingly decoupling.
