On the news front, overnight US semiconductor and memory stocks plunged across the board, as SK Hynix disclosed its second‑quarter earnings that broadly missed market consensus. Data showed the company posted revenue of KRW 79.3 trillion and operating profit of KRW 60.5 trillion for the quarter, both falling short of analyst estimates.

Zheshang Securities pointed out that while the market is concerned about NVIDIA's revolving financing potentially creating artificial demand, the exponential growth in token consumption provides solid underlying real support, making it difficult for the tight supply‑demand situation in computing chips to reverse in the short term. First, AI agents amplify the elasticity of computing power consumption; second, global GPU rental prices have jumped across the board, with the supply‑demand gap continuing to widen; and third, overseas cloud vendors' capital expenditures remain at elevated levels.
