III. AI Industry & Corporate Developments

1. OpenAI Releases GPT-6.1 Terra and Halves Standard API Prices

On October 26 local time, OpenAI released its mid-tier GPT-6.1 Terra model and made it available in ChatGPT Work, Codex and the API. Upgraded from GPT-5.6 Terra, the model enhances visual reasoning, computer operation and written expression, and completes computer-use tasks about three times faster than GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol. Standard API pricing is 50% lower than both GPT-5.6 Terra and GPT-6.1 Sol, at USD 1 per million input tokens and USD 5 per million output tokens. In OpenAI's internal test built around error-inducing prompts, GPT-6.1 Terra posted a 16.7% error rate at low reasoning effort, versus 53.6% for GPT-5.6 Terra.

2. Anthropic Files Its S-1 to List on Nasdaq under the Ticker ANT

On October 26 local time, Anthropic publicly filed its S-1 registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, planning to list on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker ANT. The filing does not yet disclose the number of shares or a price range; media reports said the company aims to complete the listing in the week of November 16, raising as much as USD 100 billion or more, with market expectations for valuation at USD 1.5 trillion to USD 2 trillion. The filing shows first-half 2026 revenue of USD 16.286 billion and a net loss of USD 80.7 billion, with cash and cash equivalents of USD 112.4 billion and short-term investments of USD 19.3 billion as of the end of June 2026.

3. DeepSeek Tops the Weekly OpenRouter Ranking as Chinese Model Call Volumes Rise 18.14%

The OpenRouter weekly ranking of global model call volumes published on October 26 showed that, in the October 19 to October 25 period, the V4.1-Flash-1017 version that DeepSeek updated on October 17 ranked first with 33.6 trillion tokens of weekly calls, up 801% from the prior week and the largest weekly increment. Chinese models together recorded 93.54 trillion tokens, up 18.14% week on week, against 22.47 trillion tokens for US models over the same period. Z.AI's GLM-5.3 Flash recorded 13.2 trillion tokens, up 8% week on week; the series has recently been made available on Amazon Bedrock.

4. Double 11 Makes AI Tokens a Standalone Category as Model Vendors Join E-commerce Platforms

On October 27, Xinhua Finance reported that during this year's Double 11 shopping festival, model vendors including Z.AI, MiniMax and Alibaba Cloud Bailian opened storefronts on Tmall, with AI tokens introduced as a standalone category in the promotion for the first time. Model calls are thus extending from enterprise procurement to retail sales aimed at individual developers and small teams. The report also noted that JD.com continued to push on AI this year but placed its main growth focus on services consumption.

5. Counterpoint Expects Cumulative Humanoid Robot AI Accelerator Shipments to Top One Million Units by 2030

On October 26, Counterpoint Research released its global humanoid robot tracker, projecting that cumulative shipments of AI accelerators for humanoid robots will exceed one million units by 2030, a compound annual growth rate of 144% from 2026 to 2030. The report holds that GPUs will remain the mainstream architecture for humanoid robot computing in the near term as vision-language-action models and world models converge, and that dedicated compute will gain value in power consumption, thermal design and energy efficiency as robot models evolve from VLA towards world action models.
