On September 21, 2026, the three major Hong Kong stock indices rose collectively, with the Hang Seng Index up 1.18%, the Hang Seng TECH Index up 0.40%, and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index up 1.39%. The Hang Seng Index recorded full-day total market turnover of HKD 202.7 billion.

On the board, among Stock Connect constituent stocks, IMPACT THERAP-B soared 27.78% after the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use of the European Medicines Agency recommended approval of its Sepalna marketing authorisation, compounded by the stock being added to the Stock Connect list; DELTON surged 14.31% and VGT rose 12.94% as PCB manufacturers began re-quoting, raising expectations of improving sector profitability; GENFLEET-B rose 13.75% and SHANDONG XINHUA rose 13.69%, with the pharmaceutical sector leading the market. 1. Shanghai and Shenzhen Exchanges’ Stock Connect Periodic Adjustment Takes Effect, with 54 Securities Added; JUNZHENG and TRANSWARP Join Today

On September 20, the latest periodic adjustment of the Stock Connect list by the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges formally took effect, adding 54 Hong Kong-listed companies in a single round, concentrated in three emerging tracks: biomedicine, AI and semiconductors, and high-end equipment manufacturing. On September 21, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange announced the inclusion of JUNZHENG (03223) and TRANSWARP (06727) in the list of eligible securities under Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect, effective the same day; the Shanghai Stock Exchange had announced their inclusion under Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect on the evening of September 18. JUNZHENG is an integrated circuit design company whose main product lines include memory, computing and analog chips; in the first half of 2026 it recorded revenue of RMB 3.957 billion, up 75.95% year on year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 1.198 billion, up 489.59%.

2. TRANSWARP’s H Shares Break Issue Price on Debut, and Are Added to Stock Connect on the First Trading Day

On September 21, TRANSWARP (06727.HK) was formally listed on the Main Board of the HKEX at an offer price of HKD 49.00 per share, with a global offering of 14.0108 million H shares, a Hong Kong public offer tranche that was 73.86 times oversubscribed, and net proceeds of about HKD 629 million. The company is a leading domestic developer of enterprise-grade AI and big data infrastructure software; in the first half of this year it recorded revenue of RMB 174 million, up 14.1% year on year, with gross margin rising to 47.4%. Its shares were added to the Stock Connect list on the first day of listing, but the stock opened flat and weakened, closing at HKD 44.50, down 9.18%.

3. IMPACT THERAP-B Receives Positive Opinion from the European Medicines Agency and Is Added to Stock Connect, Surging 27.78%

On September 21, IMPACT THERAP-B (07630.HK) surged, closing up 27.78% at HKD 16.65 with turnover of HKD 779 million. The company announced late last Friday that the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has adopted a positive opinion recommending the granting of a marketing authorisation for Sepalna for the maintenance treatment of advanced epithelial ovarian, fallopian tube and primary peritoneal cancer; the drug will next be submitted to the European Commission for a final decision. The company was recently added to the Stock Connect list, allowing southbound capital to trade the stock directly.

4. PCB Manufacturers Begin Re-quoting, with DELTON and VGT Leading

On September 21, Hong Kong-listed PCB concept stocks strengthened sharply, with DELTON (01989.HK) rising 14.31% to close at HKD 123.00 on turnover of HKD 1.097 billion, and VGT (02476.HK) rising 12.94%. Several brokerage research notes pointed out that as upstream raw material prices continue to climb, PCB manufacturers have successively begun re-quoting, opening up the industry chain price transmission mechanism, and the third quarter of 2026 is expected to mark the starting point of sector profitability improvement.
