On September 16, 2026, the three major Hong Kong stock indices opened higher and moved in a choppy range, with the Hang Seng Index up 0.19%, the Hang Seng TECH Index up 0.79%, and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index up 0.02%. The Hang Seng Index's total market turnover was 181.1 billion HKD.

On the board, among Stock Connect constituent stocks, HQVT surged 36.09% as multispectral AI entered a phase of large-scale volume ramp-up, with Frost & Sullivan naming its full-chain delivery capability; BAIGE DIGITAL surged 20.20%; CREALIGHTS rose 16.65%; ZHIDA TECH surged 15.25% as the landing of its German plant together with its appearance at a Brazilian exhibition is expected to further increase overseas business revenue; CAOCAO INC rose 14.58% as the launch of an AI ride-hailing service jointly with Doubao continued to advance its AI mobility ecosystem layout. CSTONE PHARMA-B plunged 12.62%, and TH MEDICAL-B fell 8.17%.

IV. Industry and Corporate Updates

1. Hong Kong Publishes Its First Five-Year Plan and the 2026 Policy Address, Proposing to Include RMB Counters in Stock Connect and Optimize the Listing Regime for Specialist Technology Companies

On September 16, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region published Hong Kong's first "First Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (2026–2030)" and the "Chief Executive's 2026 Policy Address". The Policy Address proposed a series of measures to optimize the securities market, including: the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong is preparing to include RMB counters in Stock Connect, and HKEX will encourage listed companies to add RMB counters; HKEX will launch a consultation in the first half of next year on revising the listing regime for specialist technology companies, including a review of the market capitalization threshold, so as to attract enterprises in emerging industries such as aerospace to raise funds in Hong Kong; the Securities and Futures Commission will launch a consultation in 2027 on streamlining prospectus disclosure requirements; and HKEX will launch the "HKEX Offshore RMB Bond Index" as a reference for market trends and as an underlying for ETFs. The Five-Year Plan sets out 105 indicators in total and proposes supporting leading mainland and overseas industry players as well as high-quality emerging industry enterprises to list in Hong Kong, and improving and expanding the financial market interconnectivity mechanism.

2. PATEO (02889.HK) Wins Its First Nomination for an Overseas Model Project from a Leading High-End New Energy OEM

PATEO announced that the company received a formal project nomination notice from a leading domestic high-end new energy vehicle OEM, and was selected for the first time as a supplier for the next-generation overseas models under the customer's flagship brand, responsible for the research and development and mass-production delivery of high-end intelligent cockpit domain controllers and AI interaction systems based on Qualcomm's 8397 next-generation high-performance cockpit chip platform. Qualcomm 8397 is Qualcomm Snapdragon's fifth-generation intelligent cockpit chip platform, which can support intelligent capabilities such as on-device AI computing power, multimodal interaction and multi-screen linkage. This nomination covers the first batch of models in the customer's overseas product matrix, with the project's overseas footprint covering major global regions including Europe, Central and South America and Canada, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Central Asia, Africa and Oceania. PATEO is a Stock Connect target.

3. JOLIMARK (02028.HK)'s Controlling Shareholder Completes Placing of 129.1 Million Shares

On September 16, JOLIMARK announced that its controlling shareholder completed a partial placing on September 15, 2026, placing 129.1 million shares through a placing agent in accordance with the terms of the placing agreement. The company had previously published an announcement on September 4, 2026 disclosing the placing. JOLIMARK is a Stock Connect target.

4. LEEPORT(HOLD) (00387.HK) Announces 2026 Interim Results: Revenue of HK$399 Million and Net Profit up 2.1% Year on Year

On September 16, LEEPORT(HOLD) announced its 2026 interim results, achieving operating revenue of HK$399 million and profit attributable to owners of the company of HK$10.237 million, up 2.1% year on year; basic earnings per share were 4.45 HK cents. The board resolved to declare an interim dividend of 3 HK cents per share, unchanged from the same period last year, to be paid on or around September 30, 2026.
