On September 10, 2026, the three major Hong Kong indices continued to weaken, with the Hang Seng Index down 1.27%, the Hang Seng TECH Index down 2.04%, and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index down 1.13%. The Hang Seng Index's full-day turnover was 198.9 billion HKD. On September 10, 2026, the three major Hong Kong indices continued to weaken, with the Hang Seng Index down 1.27%, the Hang Seng TECH Index down 2.04%, and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index down 1.13%. The Hang Seng Index's full-day turnover was 198.9 billion HKD.

On the market, among Hong Kong Stock Connect constituents, ZHIDA TECH surged 107.22%; its AI home charging robot made its debut at the Bund Summit with a live demonstration of fully automatic charging, and following the official launch of its German plant, its globalization process has further accelerated. QUANTGROUP rose 11.17%; TIANLI INT HLDG rose 10.06%, as its Tianli Qiming "AI + Education" solution continues to be rolled out; QINGSONG HEALTH rose 8.78%. On the downside, TYK MEDICINES-B fell 22.32%, HAIZHI TECH GP fell 12.75%, and UNISOUND fell 10.03%.

Southbound funds recorded a net purchase of 4.551 billion HKD on the day. Of this, Hong Kong Stock Connect (Shanghai) recorded net purchases of 4.260 billion HKD, and Hong Kong Stock Connect (Shenzhen) recorded net purchases of 291 million HKD.

1. Hang Seng Indexes Company Announces Authorization of the World's First Warrant Linked to the Hang Seng Biotech Index

On September 9, Hang Seng Indexes Company announced that it has authorized Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad to launch in Malaysia the world's first warrant linked to the Hang Seng Biotech Index, marking an important step forward for Hang Seng Indexes Company in overseas index licensing and product expansion. The Hang Seng Biotech Index tracks the 30 largest biotechnology companies by market capitalization that are listed in Hong Kong and eligible for southbound Stock Connect trading. The index has become an important benchmark reflecting innovation and development in the biotechnology sector.

2. Baidu Group-W to Be Included in Three Hang Seng Hong Kong Stock Connect-Related Indices, Effective from October 26

On September 10, Hang Seng Indexes Company announced that, as Baidu Group-W (09888.HK) has been included in Hong Kong Stock Connect and meets the requirements of the relevant index fast-entry rules, it will be included in the Hang Seng Stock Connect New Economy Index, the Hang Seng Stock Connect China Technology Index and the Hang Seng Stock Connect Technology Theme Index after market close on October 23, 2026, with the relevant changes taking effect from October 26, 2026. Baidu Group was officially included in the list of Hong Kong Stock Connect eligible securities on September 7; this is the index fast-entry mechanism triggered after its inclusion in Stock Connect.

3. INGENIC (03223.HK) Launches IPO Subscription from September 10, with a Maximum Offer Price of HK$102.8 per Share

On September 10, fabless semiconductor company INGENIC (300223.SZ) announced details of its Hong Kong offering, planning a global offering of 31.2873 million H shares, with the Hong Kong public offering accounting for about 10% and the international placing portion about 90%, at a maximum offer price of HK$102.8 per share. The board lot size is 100 shares, with an entry fee of about HK$10,400, and 11 cornerstone investors have been introduced. INGENIC is an A-share listed company, and this is an "A+H" dual listing.

4. XUNZHONG (02597.HK) Places 11.19 Million New H Shares at a Discount of About 19.43%, Raising Net Proceeds of About HKD 314 Million

On September 10, XUNZHONG entered into a placing agreement with placing agent WINBULL SECURITIES INTERNATIONAL, proposing to place 11,190,000 new H shares on a best-efforts basis at a placing price of HK$28.20 per share, representing a discount of about 19.43% to the closing price of HK$35 on September 9. The placing shares represent about 9.19% of the total number of issued shares as of the announcement date (excluding treasury shares). Gross proceeds are about HKD 316 million and net proceeds about HKD 314 million, which will be mainly used for the construction of computing power business infrastructure.
