NewTimeSpace Research data show that on September 2, 2026, the Shanghai-Shenzhen Stock Connect ETFs market featured a rotation in which the prior day's leaders retreated across the board while military ETFs took over with marginal gains. Aerospace and defense ETFs rose modestly, leading the gainers but with extremely limited upside, while the grain sector that had led the prior session suffered an unusually sharp slump and cyclical resource plays such as rare metals, coal, chemical and non-ferrous metals also pulled back sharply. Market focus rotated quickly from the previous day's grain-led strength to military and defense themes, yet profitable opportunities were extremely scarce, with nearly all prior-day gainers hit by profit-taking. Sector rotation was exceptionally violent, and market sentiment turned cautious.
