Fintech and Taiwan themes were active on the day. The Global X Innovative Finance ETF (3185.HK) led with a 2.39% advance; the Xtrackers MSCI Taiwan UCITS ETF (3036.HK) rose 2.11%; the E Fund (HK) Solactive Global Gold Miner Select Index ETF (2824.HK) gained 1.84% after a 1.32% decline in the prior session; the Ishares Core Msci Taiwan Index Etf (3074.HK) added 1.81%; the Premia FTSE TWSE Taiwan 50 ETF (3453.HK) rose 1.54%; the Pando Blockchain ETF (3112.HK) gained 1.39%; the Global X Japan Global Leaders ETF (3150.HK) climbed 1.23%; the E Fund (HK) CSI Liquor Index ETF (3189.HK) added 1.22%; the Hang Seng Japan Topix 100 Index Etf (3410.HK) rose 1.17%; and the Samsung NYSE FANG+ ETF (2814.HK) gained 1.13%. Overall, fintech, Taiwan, gold miner and Japan directions formed an obvious defensive and regional sector-wide momentum, with all top-10 gainers advancing more than 1.1%.

The previous session's leaders on the gainers list faced broad profit-taking on the day, with all top-10 decliners in leveraged ChiNext, STAR 50 and China technology products falling more than 1%.
