Direct Drive files for Hong Kong listing, CITIC Securities as sole sponsor; No.1 in China's consumer robot direct-drive power module market
NewTimeSpace News: On 19 August 2026, according to HKEX disclosure, Direct Drive Tech Limited submitted its listing application, with CITIC Securities acting as the sole sponsor. The Company is a robot technology company with direct-drive technology as its core capability, primarily engaged in the sale of robot power modules in China, followed by the sale of robots, operating in the consumer robot power module industry in China (a segment representing 26.3% of China's robot power module industry) and the wheel-footed and two-wheeled-footed robot industry in China.
According to Frost & Sullivan, by 2025 revenue, the Company ranked eighth in China's consumer robot power module industry with a market share of 2.4%, and first in China's consumer robot direct-drive power module industry (a segment representing 3.9% of the consumer robot power module industry) with a market share of 61.1%. In terms of robots, the Company ranked fourth in China's wheel-footed robot industry with a market share of 4.7%, and second in China's two-wheeled-footed robot industry with a market share of 18.6%.
According to the announcement, the Company's D1 robot, launched in October 2025, is the world's first commercially launched modular two-wheeled-footed robot; the Company is also one of the few companies in the global robot industry capable of achieving swarm control in wheel-footed robots, i.e., the ability for multiple robots to operate as a unified whole.
