NewTimeSpace News: ProteLight Pharmaceuticals (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. submitted its listing application to HKEX on 13 February 2026, which has lapsed after six months. CITIC Securities acted as the original sole sponsor.
Founded in 2009, the Company is a leading innovative antimicrobial peptide (AMP) therapeutics company focused on four core therapeutic areas: anti-infection, metabolic diseases, oncology and autoimmune diseases. As of the latest practicable date, the Company had nine drug candidates, including core product PL-5 and lead products PL-3301 and PL-18.
Core product PL-5 (Peceleganan), based on the membrane discrimination mechanism theory first proposed by the founder in 2006, represents a novel mechanism of action with key advantages of anti-resistance, broad-spectrum and high potency, providing a breakthrough solution for treating multidrug-resistant infections. The NDA for PL-5 was submitted in China in 2024, and the product is also undergoing a Phase II clinical trial in the United States.
Lead product PL-3301 is a potentially first-in-class thermosensitive peptide gel for the treatment of oropharyngeal candidiasis, and PL-18 is a potentially first-in-class AMP drug for the treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis. The Company is actively expanding its pipeline into metabolic diseases, oncology and autoimmunity.
