New Shicoh HKEX IPO Application Lapsed Upon Expiry, a Globally Leading Manufacturer of Micro Precision Motors
NewTimeSpace News: The listing application submitted by New Shicoh Motor Co., Ltd. to HKEX on 2 January 2026 has lapsed upon the expiry of six months. Huatai International and CICC served as the original joint sponsors.
Founded in 2014, the Company is a globally leading manufacturer of micro precision motors. As a pioneer in the imaging motor sector, it has accumulated profound expertise and proprietary technologies across the full industrial chain, covering material performance improvement, manufacturing processes and stringent product quality control. The Company has adopted a strategic layout featuring dual production bases in Jiaxing and Hefei, alongside dual R&D hubs in China and Japan.
Per Frost & Sullivan statistics, based on 2024 revenue, the Company ranks sixth globally and third among domestic players in the imaging motor market, capturing 9.1% of China’s imaging motor market. In the OIS imaging motor segment measured by 2024 revenue, it takes the fourth position globally and first place in China, holding a 20.1% domestic market share.
The Company’s product portfolio falls into two major categories: imaging products and non-imaging products. Its imaging lineup includes voice coil motors (VCM), piezoelectric motors, shape memory alloy motors and more, mainly deployed in camera modules for smartphones, handheld imaging devices, security surveillance and machine vision systems. Specific imaging products cover OIS motors, periscope motors, open-loop motors, closed-loop motors, variable aperture motors and continuous optical zoom motors, with the vast majority of the Group’s revenue generated from imaging products.
