CHI KINGSTONE (01380.HK): Zhangjiaba mine to lift capacity to 3.5m tonnes

On 5 November 2026, CHI KINGSTONE (01380.HK) said its Zhangjiaba marble mine resumed output and it plans to lift capacity to 3.5 million tonnes.

NewTimeSpace News: On 5 November 2026, China Kingstone Mining Holdings Limited (01380.HK) disclosed the latest development of its Zhangjiaba mine business. The mine is a beige marble mine located in Zhenjiang Village, Xiangshui Township, Jiangyou City, Sichuan Province, China, where limestone mining was previously suspended pending the renewal of its mining permit, which was successfully renewed on 10 August 2026.

After an on-site inspection, the Jiangyou Emergency Management Bureau approved on 9 September the orderly resumption of production in the designated operation areas within the currently approved elevation of the Zhangjiaba mine. Under the relevant regulatory requirements, the group is allowed to conduct mining at the approved elevation, but it may not extend mining to deeper areas until the required safety facilities are completed and approved and a new work safety permit is obtained. The group currently holds a valid work safety permit expiring on 26 March 2027 with an approved annual capacity of 750,000 tonnes.

To support its long-term development strategy, the group has resolved to expand the Zhangjiaba mine's annual capacity from 750,000 tonnes to 3.5 million tonnes, and has started applying for the updated safety facility design approval and the corresponding new work safety permit. The relevant application was submitted to the Sichuan Provincial Emergency Management Department on 30 October, and the group currently expects to obtain the updated design approval by the end of January 2027, after which it will commence construction of the 3.5-million-tonne expansion project with an estimated construction period of about three to four months, targeting completion of the acceptance procedures and obtaining the new work safety permit before June 2027.
