MEITU (01357.HK): Q3 Image and Design Product Revenue Up 28.2% to RMB 1bn
NewTimeSpace News: On 23 October 2026, Meitu, Inc. (the "Company") voluntarily announced its latest business status for the third quarter of 2026. The number of paying subscribers grew by approximately 1.39 million net in the quarter, a high for the past four quarters; as at September 2026, the number of paying subscribers reached 19.83 million. Of this, paying subscribers from productivity applications grew 18.3% year on year to 2.39 million, and those from life scenario applications grew 24.1% year on year to 17.44 million; meanwhile, the growth of paying subscribers from international markets continued to outpace that from the mainland China market.
The announcement disclosed that, as at September 2026, ARR of AI productivity applications was RMB 655 million, up 40.1% year on year, with ARR of both Kaipai and Vmake Labs more than doubling year on year. In the third quarter of 2026, revenue from the Group's principal business of "image and design products" (unaudited) grew 28.2% year on year to RMB 1 billion, of which: revenue from productivity applications grew 42.3% year on year and accounted for about 20% of image and design product revenue; as the Group exited the stock image library business before the end of 2025, the above year-on-year growth rate is calculated on a comparable basis, excluding the revenue contribution of RMB 13.70 million from that original business in the third quarter of 2025, so as to reflect the growth trend of productivity applications more accurately; revenue from life scenario applications grew 27.9% year on year and accounted for 80% of image and design product revenue, reflecting the continued user demand and monetisation momentum of life scenario applications.
The Company stated that, as disclosed in its latest business status announcement for the first quarter of 2026 dated 5 May 2026, it will continue to disclose monthly active users on a semi-annual basis to reflect the overall trend in user scale more clearly and avoid short-term fluctuations arising from marketing campaigns or new feature launches. The announcement also stated that it was made after the board's preliminary review of the Group's relevant unaudited management accounts and information currently available to the board, rather than on the basis of data or information audited or reviewed by the Group's auditor, and that the information may be revised or adjusted.
