Yancoal Australia (03668.HK): Fletcher exits, Smith named Co-Vice Chair

NewTimeSpace News: Yancoal Australia Ltd (03668.HK) announced on October 23 that Mr Gregory James Fletcher will step down as an Independent Non-Executive Director, Co-Vice Chairman of the Board, Chair of the Audit and Risk Management Committee and member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee effective January 1, 2027, following a decision to focus on other professional commitments and personal priorities.

According to the announcement, Mr Fletcher was appointed as an INED in June 2012 and as Co-Vice Chairman in March 2018, a tenure of 14 years. The Board has appointed Mr Peter Smith as Co-Vice Chairman effective January 1, 2027; Mr Smith was appointed as an INED in December 2024 and currently chairs the Health, Safety, Environment and Community Committee and sits on the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

The announcement said that Mr Vincent Nicoletti has been appointed as an INED, Chair of the Audit and Risk Management Committee and a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, also effective January 1, 2027. Mr Nicoletti, aged 64, has over 30 years of leadership experience in the energy, mining, contracting and services industries and is currently a non-executive director of Perenti Group (ASX: PRN).
