CHOW TAI FOOK (01929.HK): Net profit seen up 90-100% this half

On 22 October 2026, CHOW TAI FOOK (01929.HK) said interim net profit is expected to rise about 90-100% on gold loan revaluation gains and better sales.
Key Highlights:
  • The gain reflects a swing from a fair value loss on gold borrowing contracts a year earlier to a fair value gain in the first half of FY 2027.
  • Interim results for the first half of FY 2027 are expected to be published by the end of November 2026.

NewTimeSpace News: On 22 October 2026, Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited (stock code: 01929) issued a positive profit alert, expecting net profit for the six months ended 30 September 2026, the first half of FY 2027, to increase about 90% to 100% year on year.

The increase is mainly attributable to a fair value gain on revaluation of gold borrowing contracts in the first half of FY 2027, against a fair value loss a year earlier, and improved sales in the Group's core markets. The figures are based on a preliminary review of the latest management accounts and remain subject to review by the auditor, the audit committee and the Board, with interim results expected by the end of November 2026. The Company said the expectation covers only the first half and does not represent the year ending 31 March 2027.
