(02697.HK) announced that, using its self-developed organ perfusion system, it completed six preclinical extracorporeal cross-perfusion experiments on gene-edited pig livers supporting non-human primate models of acute liver failure.
Conducted with Yunnan Agricultural University, Kunming First People's Hospital and the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University, the experiments set a record of up to 144 hours of stable liver perfusion support, with all six cases exceeding 72 hours.
Vital signs were stable, bile secretion continuous and core biochemical indicators stable, with no hyperacute or acute rejection injury, using 8-gene-edited medical donor pig livers from Yunnan Agricultural University. The system is a modular organ medical device platform supporting multi-organ normothermic perfusion preservation and extracorporeal life support research.
