NewTimeSpace News: On 12 October 2026, Pangaea Connectivity Technology Limited (stock code: 01473) issued a positive profit alert and business update, expecting an unaudited consolidated profit attributable to owners of the Company of not less than HK$80 million for the six months ended 30 September 2026, against about HK$15.4 million a year earlier.

According to the announcement, the Group's revenue for the period grew by over 80%, mainly driven by the fulfilment and delivery of a significant number of sales orders for its 200Gb/s indium phosphide photodiode (PD) products, which lifted sales volume and revenue and drove net profit growth of more than 400%. The Group is currently delivering about 15 million units of PD products per month, with volumes expected to rise further in the second half of the current financial year and the next financial year. It supplies a portfolio of optoelectronic and semiconductor components, including integrated circuits, lasers, PDs and related devices, enabling electrical-to-optical and optical-to-electrical signal conversion in high-speed 800G/1.6T/3.2T optical modules for AI data center applications; its transimpedance amplifier (TIA) is under customer qualification and its continuous-wave (CW) lasers are at the sample testing stage.

On the business update, the Group recently secured an exclusive supply agreement for high-power laser source systems, comprising laser sources, power supplies, air-generators, cables and related accessories, with a leading domestic and global manufacturer of printed circuit board (PCB) laser drilling equipment, which is deployed by tier-one manufacturers to produce high-layer-count high-density interconnect (HDI) and ultra-HDI PCBs and primarily applied in 1.6T/3.2T PCB laser drilling and laser circuit structuring. Delivery began in October 2026, with not less than 500 units expected to be delivered in the financial year ending 31 March 2027 for anticipated revenue of not less than US$55 million; the Group has also expanded its laser laboratory in Shenzhen to provide after-sales services including laser head maintenance and replacement.
