STANCHART (02888.HK): Grants 937,018 Share Awards and 5,724,343 Share Options at Exercise Price of GBP 17.79

NewTimeSpace News: On 22 September 2026, Standard Chartered PLC (stock code: 02888) announced that on 21 September 2026 it granted 937,018 conditional share award rights and 5,724,343 share options to eligible employees under the 2021 Standard Chartered Share Plan and the 2023 Standard Chartered Save-as-you-earn Plan, to subscribe for ordinary shares of USD 0.50 par value each.

The announcement disclosed that the 937,018 deferred share awards were granted under the 2021 Plan with a vesting period of four to five years, conditional on continued service, while the 5,724,343 SAYE share options were granted under the 2023 Plan at an exercise price of GBP 17.79, exercisable within six months from the expiry date of 1 December 2029, with a three-year vesting period, of which 1,023 options were granted to director Bill Winters. The Company's shares closed at GBP 23.19 on the London Stock Exchange on the grant date.

Under all of the Company's share plans, the maximum number of shares that may be granted in future is 121,251,674. The 2021 Plan was adopted before the effective date of the current Chapter 17 of the Listing Rules, and the Company will comply with Chapter 17 under the transitional arrangements applicable to its existing share plans. All awards vest subject to continued service.
