TECHTRONIC IND (00669.HK): Board lot size to change from 500 shares to 100 shares with effect from 5 October

- The Board considers that the change in board lot size will facilitate trading in the shares and improve liquidity, thereby broadening the shareholder base, and will not affect any rights of shareholders; as the change will not result in fractional board lots, no arrangements for odd lot matching are required.
NewTimeSpace News: On 11 September 2026, Techtronic Industries Company Limited (stock code: 00669) announced that the board lot size of its shares for trading on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited will be changed from 500 shares to 100 shares with effect from 9:00 a.m. on Monday, 5 October 2026.
Based on the closing price of HKD 127.00 per share as quoted on the Stock Exchange on the date of the announcement, the market value of the existing board lot of 500 shares is HKD 63,500, and the market value of a new board lot of 100 shares will be HKD 12,700 after the change takes effect. The Board considers that the reduction in the value of each board lot resulting from the change will facilitate trading in the shares and improve their liquidity, thereby further broadening the Company's shareholder base. The change will not affect any rights of shareholders or result in any change in such rights. As the change will not result in fractional board lots of shares (other than fractional board lots already in existence before the change takes effect), the Company does not need to make arrangements for odd lot matching.
Shareholders may return their existing share certificates of board lots of 500 shares to the Company's share registrar, Tricor Secretaries Limited, at 17th Floor, Far East Finance Centre, 16 Harcourt Road, Hong Kong, during business hours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Friday, 18 September 2026 to Wednesday, 28 October 2026 (both days inclusive) for free exchange for new share certificates of board lots of 100 shares. After the expiry of this period, existing share certificates will only be accepted for exchange upon payment of a fee of HKD 2.50 for each new share certificate of board lots of 100 shares or for each existing share certificate surrendered, whichever is the higher number of certificates. Shareholders are expected to collect the new share certificates at the share registrar within 10 business days after delivering their existing share certificates. From Monday, 5 October 2026, all new share certificates will be issued in board lots of 100 shares (except for fractional shares or where otherwise instructed by the share registrar). All existing share certificates issued in board lots of 500 shares will continue to be evidence of legal ownership of such shares and will be valid for transfer, settlement and clearing purposes, and apart from the change in the number of shares per board lot, the format and colour of the new share certificates will be the same as those of the existing share certificates.
Under the expected timetable set out in the announcement, the last day for trading in the shares in board lots of 500 shares on the existing counter is Friday, 2 October 2026. From 9:00 a.m. on Monday, 5 October 2026, the existing counter will be converted into a counter for trading in board lots of 100 shares and a temporary counter for trading in board lots of 500 shares will open, with parallel trading in board lots of 100 shares and 500 shares commencing on the same date.
