GENSCRIPT BIO (01548.HK): Places 77.126 Million New Shares at HKD 30.50 to Raise About HKD 2.327 Billion

NewTimeSpace News: On 11 September 2026, Genscript Biotech Corporation (stock code: 01548) announced that it entered into a placing agreement with the placing agents before the trading session to place 77,126,000 new shares at HKD 30.50 per share to not fewer than six placees, a discount of about 4.7% to the closing price of HKD 32.00 on the last trading day, 10 September, and about 6.3% to the average closing price of HKD 32.56 over the five consecutive trading days immediately prior. The placing shares represent about 3.50% of the existing issued share capital and about 3.38% of the enlarged issued share capital.

Gross proceeds are expected to be about HKD 2,352.3 million, with net proceeds of about HKD 2,327.1 million, or about HKD 30.17 per placing share. About 70% will fund the expansion of the Group's AIDD platform capacity and infrastructure, about 20% will be used for AIDD-related research and development, digital workflow integration and global business expansion, and about 10% for general corporate purposes and working capital.
