CHERVON (02285.HK): Appoints Joseph Galli Jr. as CEO; founder Pan Longquan remains executive director and chairman
NewTimeSpace News: On 10 September 2026, Chervon Holdings Limited (stock code: 02285) announced that Mr. Joseph Galli Jr. has been appointed as chief executive officer of the group with effect from 10 September 2026. On the effective date, the company's founder, Mr. Pan Longquan, ceased to be CEO of the group but will remain an executive director and chairman.
According to the announcement, Mr. Pan Longquan, chairman, said it is a great honour to welcome Mr. Galli to lead Chervon into a new chapter, noting his track record in the industry and unique qualifications to lead the company forward, and expressing confidence that his appointment will inject new momentum into the business and brands and create substantial value for customers and investors. Mr. Galli graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1980 and obtained an MBA from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland in 1987. He began his career in 1980 at Black & Decker, where he held various senior management positions over more than 19 years and ultimately rose to president of the global power tools and accessories division, successfully launching the DeWalt heavy-duty power tools brand in 1992; he subsequently joined Amazon.com as a director, president and chief operating officer from 1999 to 2000; served as a director and CEO of Newell Rubbermaid Inc. from 2001 to 2005; and joined Techtronic Industries Co. Ltd. (stock code: 0669) in 2006 as CEO of Techtronic Appliances, before serving as CEO and executive director of Techtronic Industries from February 2008 to May 2024, leading its management team in daily operations, integrating acquisitions and enhancing the global sales potential of the Milwaukee and Ryobi brands.
The announcement stated that, as at the date thereof, Mr. Galli held no interests in any shares, underlying shares or debentures of the company or its associated corporations; save as disclosed, he holds no other position in the group, has not held any directorship in any other public company listed on any securities market in Hong Kong or elsewhere in the three years immediately preceding the announcement, has no other major appointments or professional qualifications, and has no relationship with any director, senior management or substantial or controlling shareholder of the company. The board is not aware of any other matter relating to the appointment that needs to be brought to shareholders' attention, nor of any information required to be disclosed under Rules 13.51(2)(h) to (v) of the Listing Rules.
