JXR (01951.HK): Proposes to Develop Translational Medicine Platform Focusing on Women's Health, Signs Research MOU with Academician Ji Weizhi
NewTimeSpace News: On 9 September 2026, Jinxin Fertility Group Limited (stock code: 01951) issued a voluntary announcement stating that, leveraging its existing clinical and reproductive medicine capabilities, the group proposes to further develop a translational medicine platform focusing primarily on women's health. The platform will combine the group's existing innovation centre, genetic testing centre, affiliated research platforms, clinical network and reproductive medicine expertise to drive the translation of research outcomes into clinical applications, with initial focus areas expected to include ovarian ageing, diminished ovarian reserve and other reproductive and women's health-related diseases. Assisted reproduction and related medical services remain the group's core business.
According to the announcement, the group has entered into two external cooperation arrangements for the platform. First, it has signed a research cooperation memorandum with Professor Ji Weizhi, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, president of the Chinese Society for Stem Cell Research and dean and distinguished professor of the Institute of Primate Translational Medicine of Kunming University of Science and Technology, to explore cooperation in reproductive and developmental biology, regenerative medicine, disease models and translational medicine, with non-human primate models to be considered as part of specific research projects where scientifically justified. Second, it has entered into a framework cooperation agreement with a partner possessing relevant research-use animal resources and breeding capabilities, to explore cooperation in research-use animal resources, reproductive breeding capabilities and construction of research cohorts for biomedical research. Each partner is an independent third party.
The company stated that the platform aims to form an integrated pathway connecting its clinical network and patient resources with external scientific, preclinical and clinical research capabilities, and will develop prudently on a project-by-project basis, relying mainly on existing facilities and external cooperation at this stage without capital-intensive infrastructure construction. The platform and arrangements remain at an early stage, are of a general framework nature, do not commit the group to any specific projects and involve no significant capital expenditure, and are not expected to have a material impact on the group's revenue, profit or cash flow in the near term.
