CLOVER BIO-B (02197.HK): Positive Phase II Data for Respiratory Combo Vaccine Candidates in Australian Elderly

NewTimeSpace News: On 7 September 2026, Clover Biopharmaceuticals (stock code: 02197) announced positive preliminary data from a Phase II trial of its respiratory combination vaccine candidates SCB-1022 (RSV + hMPV) and SCB-1033 (RSV + hMPV + PIV3) in elderly subjects in Australia. Both candidates are based on pre-fusion stabilized F protein (PreF) trimeric subunit antigens built on the company's Trimer-Tag platform. The randomized, observer-blind, multicenter trial enrolled 420 subjects aged 60 to 85, randomly assigned to receive SCB-1022, SCB-1033 or placebo.

In addition, the company has completed multiple batches of commercial-scale 2,000 L bioreactor production of the RSV, hMPV and PIV3 PreF antigen components, and will continue to evaluate mid- to late-stage development plans and potential international partnership opportunities based on the Phase II results.
