GLOBAL BIO-CHEM (00809.HK): Boiler Renovation Project Completed and Commissioned; Coenzyme Q10 Project Civil Works Started at Dehui Base
NewTimeSpace News: On 2 September 2026, Global Bio-chem Technology Group Company Limited (stock code: 00809.HK) announced, on a voluntary basis, that the completion and ignition ceremony of its boiler renovation project and the official groundbreaking ceremony of the coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) project were held on 31 August 2026 at the Group's Dehui production base in Jilin Province, the PRC, with the renovated boilers formally put into operation on the same day.
Representatives from local government departments, Jilin Provincial Agricultural Investment Group Co., Ltd., project construction contractors and a number of major financial institutions — including Shanghai Pudong Development Bank Changchun Branch, Jilin Rural Commercial Bank Changchun Regional Sub-branch, Jilin Bank Changchun Branch, China Everbright Bank Changchun Sub-branch and Industrial Bank Jingkai Sub-branch — attended the ceremony and witnessed the commissioning.
As disclosed in the boiler EPC announcement dated 31 July 2025, the boiler renovation project is a flagship project of the Group, demonstrating the deployment of high-temperature/high-pressure and ultra-high-temperature/ultra-high-pressure boilers at the Dehui production base to achieve higher energy cost efficiency while supporting the Group's overall sustainable development. The project has been successfully completed and commissioned, and is expected to optimize operational efficiency, enhance cost competitiveness and lay a solid foundation for the Group's long-term growth.
In addition, civil works for the CoQ10 project officially commenced at the Dehui production base on 31 August 2026. Under the cooperation agreement dated 8 May 2026, Dacheng Dahe, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the Group, produces coenzyme Q10 mycelium for Shenzhou Bio-tech Co., Ltd. The project marks the Group's entry into the synthetic biology field and its expansion into the health care and medical applications market; upon full completion and commercial operation, it will support the strategic shift of the Group's product portfolio toward higher-margin bio-fermentation products.
