CHAMPION TECH (00092.HK): Auditor may disclaim opinion on FY2026 financial statements, placing terminated

NewTimeSpace News: On 31 August 2026, Champion Technology Holdings Limited (stock code: 00092) notified its shareholders and potential investors that, following recent discussions with the auditors, given that a major subsidiary of the Company is in a loss-making position with significant doubt over its ability to continue as a going concern, the auditors have indicated that they may disclaim an opinion on the going concern matter in the Group's financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2026.

As of the date of this announcement, the Company is still assessing the loss position of the major subsidiary and its impact on the 2026 financial statements. Due to difficulties in recovering trade receivables, the Group is expected to record more severe losses than the same period in 2025, and the Company will publish a profit warning announcement once the relevant financial data are confirmed.

The Company also announced that, in view of the potential disclaimer of opinion constituting a material adverse change in the financial condition or prospects of the Group, the placing agent exercised its rights on 31 August 2026 to immediately terminate the placing of up to 84,024,000 new shares under the general mandate, previously announced on 20 August 2026 and 26 August 2026.
