SHIMAO SERVICES (00873.HK): Winding-up petition filed against holding company Shimao Group over judgment debts of about RMB 2.50 billion
NewTimeSpace News: On 27 August 2026, Shimao Services Holdings Limited (stock code: 00873) announced, pursuant to Rule 13.25(1)(b) of the Listing Rules, that it was informed that its holding company, Shimao Group Holdings Limited, had received on the same day a winding-up petition filed by Guotong Trust Co., Ltd. with the High Court of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, relating to judgment debts of Shimao Group arising from four judgments made by courts in Mainland China, with an aggregate amount of RMB 2,497,885,817.
According to the announcement, as of the date of the announcement, no winding-up order has been issued by the High Court to wind up Shimao Group, and the filing of the petition does not mean that the petitioner can successfully wind up Shimao Group. The Board believes that the winding-up petition will have no material impact on the financial performance and operations of the Group.
