CSPC PHARMA (01093.HK): High-potency amylin receptor agonist SYH2092 injection approved for clinical trials in China

NewTimeSpace News: On 27 August 2026, CSPC Pharmaceutical Group Limited (stock code: 01093) voluntarily announced that the SYH2092 injection developed by the Group has obtained approval from the National Medical Products Administration to conduct clinical trials in China.

According to the announcement, the product is an amylin receptor agonist. By optimizing agonistic activity, the product is expected to enhance efficacy while maintaining a controlled tolerability profile; and through optimized fatty acid modification, it can extend the in vivo half-life and has the potential to deliver lasting weight loss benefits. Preclinical studies showed that, compared with multiple amylin analogues currently in clinical development, the product demonstrated higher target agonistic activity, significant weight loss effects and durable weight loss maintenance. When combined with the Group's self-developed glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1)/glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor dual biased agonist, it exhibited synergistic weight loss effects, enhancing the magnitude of weight reduction while extending the duration of efficacy.

The product is expected to bring significant clinical benefits to weight management for patients with obesity and improve glycemic control in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
