PLANETREE INT'L (00613.HK): SFC flags highly concentrated shareholding; major shareholders and 20 investors hold 92.51% in aggregate
NewTimeSpace News: On 27 August 2026, the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) issued a statement in respect of the shareholding of Planetree International Development Limited (stock code: 00613), which was concentrated in the hands of very few shareholders as at 13 August 2026. The SFC's inquiry showed that 20 shareholders held an aggregate of 161,259,000 shares, representing 14.03% of the issued share capital; together with 902,262,175 shares held by three major shareholders (representing 78.48%), this amounted to 92.51% of the issued share capital, leaving only 86,112,035 shares, or 7.49%, in the hands of other shareholders.
As at 13 August 2026, the shareholding structure of the Company was as follows: Ms. Lo Ki Yan held 633,535,440 shares, representing 55.11%; Viva China Holdings Limited held 201,906,935 shares, representing 17.56%; and Mr. Hung Hon Man held 66,819,800 shares, representing 5.81%.
According to the statement, of the shares held by Ms. Lo, 5,271,800 shares were held by her personally and 628,263,640 shares were held by Future Capital Group Limited, a company wholly owned by Ms. Lo; of the shares held by Viva China, 197,890,935 shares were held by Kenson Investment Limited and 4,016,000 shares were held by Smart Jump Corporation, both wholly owned by Viva China Holdings Limited (stock code: 00622).
The closing price of the Company's shares rose 339% from HKD 1.260 on 2 March 2026 to HKD 5.535 on 13 August 2026, and closed at HKD 4.900 on 26 August 2026, up 289% from the closing price on 2 March 2026. The SFC reminded that, given the high concentration of shareholding in a small number of shareholders, even small trades could result in significant share price volatility, and shareholders and prospective investors should exercise caution when dealing in the Company's shares.
