CHINA TIANRUI (01252.HK): Establishes independent board committee to oversee forensic investigation, shares remain suspended

NewTimeSpace News: On 24 August 2026, China Tianrui Group Cement Company Limited (stock code: 01252) announced that it had established an independent board committee on 21 August 2026 to lead and supervise an independent forensic investigation into advance payments and fund flows.

The announcement stated that the independent board committee comprises all independent non-executive directors, namely Mr. Mai Tiansheng (chairman of the committee), Mr. Kong Xiangzhong and Mr. Zhang Yu. Under the resumption guidance issued by the Stock Exchange, the Company is required to conduct a proper independent forensic investigation into the advance payments and fund flows. The committee will select and engage an independent investigation firm with the necessary professional capabilities, particularly in forensic accounting, oversee the overall planning, execution and progress of the forensic investigation, maintain regular communication with the investigation firm and the Company's auditors, review the draft and final investigation reports carefully and assess whether any misconduct identified constitutes isolated incidents or systemic issues, report the findings and recommended remedial measures to the board, and liaise with the Stock Exchange on matters relating to the investigation.

At the Company's request, its shares have been suspended from trading on the Stock Exchange since 9:07 a.m. on 23 March 2026 and will remain suspended until further notice. The Company will publish further announcements to update shareholders and potential investors on the progress of the forensic investigation in due course, and shareholders and potential investors should exercise caution when dealing in the Company's securities.
