MICROWARE (01985.HK): Lam Sai Ching appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective 20 August
NewTimeSpace News: On 20 August 2026, Microware Group Limited (stock code: 01985) announced that Mr. Lam Sai Ching has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, effective 20 August 2026. Mr. Lam, aged 50, has over 20 years of experience in global and regional IT operations, enterprise technology and digital transformation; from July 2021 to May 2026, he served as General Manager of Kyndryl Hong Kong Limited, a subsidiary of Kyndryl Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: KD), a global IT services provider spun off from IBM, and previously served as General Manager of Professional Services at Tongdun Technology Co., Ltd., Cloud Technology Support Head and Deputy Chief Engineer at Ping An Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., and held multiple management positions at IBM.
According to the announcement, Mr. Lam has entered into a chief executive officer service contract with the Company, terminable by either party giving not less than one month's written notice, with his remuneration determined by the Board by reference to his qualifications, responsibilities and prevailing market remuneration levels. Previously, Executive Director and Chairman of the Board Mr. Wong Kwong Bor assumed the duties of Chief Executive Officer; following Mr. Lam's appointment, Mr. Wong has ceased performing such duties, and the Company has since complied with code provision C.2.1 of the Corporate Governance Code (separating the roles of Chairman and CEO).
