GBA AI COMP (01396.HK): board lot size to be changed from 2,000 to 500 shares, effective 9 September
NewTimeSpace News: On 19 August 2026, Greater Bay Area AI Computing Tech Co., Ltd. (stock code: 01396) announced that the board lot size of its shares traded on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange will be changed from 2,000 shares to 500 shares, effective from 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 9 September 2026.
According to the announcement, based on the closing price of HKD 10.67 per share on the trading day immediately preceding the date of this announcement, the market value of the existing board lot of 2,000 shares is HKD 21,340, and the corresponding market value of a board lot of 500 shares after the change will be HKD 5,335. The Company had previously reduced the board lot size from 8,000 shares to 2,000 shares in November 2025; given that share price movements have increased the value of each board lot and weakened the intended effect of the previous change, the Company has decided to further reduce the board lot size.
The Board considers that further reducing the value of each board lot will lower the threshold for investors to purchase shares, making the Company's shares more attractive to investors, thereby facilitating trading, enhancing share liquidity and broadening the shareholder base, in the interests of the Company and its shareholders as a whole. The change will not affect any relative rights of shareholders and will not create odd lots (except those existing before the change). The Company has no intention to undertake any other corporate action or arrangement within the next 12 months that would undermine or negate the intended purpose of the change.
