BASIC SEMI (09971.HK): enters strategic cooperation with UBTECH ROBOTICS on SiC power devices for embodied intelligent humanoid robots

(stock code: 09971) announced in a voluntary announcement that it has reached a strategic cooperation with Shenzhen UBTECH Robotics Co., Ltd. (UBTECH ROBOTICS, 09880.HK), focusing on in-depth cooperation on the application of silicon carbide (SiC) power devices in the embodied intelligent humanoid robot sector.

According to the announcement, leveraging BASiC Semiconductor's core technological advantages in SiC power devices and UBTECH's industrialization capabilities in embodied intelligent humanoid robots, the parties will build high-performance, high-reliability SiC power device solutions for application scenarios including power management and motion control, enhancing the energy efficiency and operation precision of embodied intelligent humanoid robots and accelerating the scaled application of SiC power devices in the embodied intelligence sector. In addition, the parties will jointly expand semiconductor intelligent manufacturing application scenarios, promoting the deep integration of semiconductor manufacturing and embodied intelligence.

The Board considers that this strategic cooperation will help the Company enter the high-growth track of embodied intelligent humanoid robots, promote the application of SiC power devices in emerging fields, and enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs through deploying embodied intelligent humanoid robots on semiconductor production lines.
