MICOT PHARMA-B (02335.HK): Three XTL6001 Studies Accepted for Presentation at EASD 2026 and ASN Kidney Week 2026, Triple-Agonist Mechanism Gains International Recognition

NewTimeSpace News: On 17 August 2026, MICOT PHARMA-B (02335.HK) announced that three studies on its key product XTL6001 have been accepted for presentation at international academic conferences: two abstracts were accepted at EASD 2026 (including an oral presentation and a short oral discussion) and one at ASN Kidney Week 2026 as a poster; XTL6001 is a GLP-1R/GCGR/MasR triple-target agonist approved for clinical studies in both China and the US, being developed for weight management, proteinuric CKD and MASH.

NewTimeSpace News: On 17 August 2026, Shaanxi Micot Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. (stock code: 02335) announced that research results relating to XTL6001, one of the group's key products, have been accepted for presentation at multiple internationally recognised academic conferences in diabetes, metabolic disease and kidney disease. Following the initial presentation at ADA, further analyses will be presented at the upcoming EASD and ASN annual meetings.

Regarding conference acceptances, two research abstracts on XTL6001 have been accepted for presentation at the 62nd Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD 2026). The study titled "XTL6001: a novel triple MasR/GCGR/GLP-1R agonist for weight loss and obesity-related complications" has been selected for an oral presentation in the session "Future obesity treatments in human trials", and the study titled "XTL6001: a novel triple MasR/GCGR/GLP-1R agonist for chronic kidney disease/diabetic kidney disease with proteinuria and hyperuricaemia" has been selected for a short oral discussion. In addition, an abstract titled "XTL6001: A Novel Triple MasR/GCGR/GLP-1 Receptor Agonist for Hyperuricemic Nephropathy" has been accepted for a poster presentation at the 2026 American Society of Nephrology Kidney Week (ASN Kidney Week 2026). EASD 2026 will be held from 28 September to 2 October 2026 in Milan, Italy, and ASN Kidney Week 2026 from 21 to 25 October 2026 in Denver, Colorado, USA.

XTL6001 is one of the group's key products and a GLP-1R/GCGR/MasR triple-target agonist approved for investigational new drug clinical studies in both China and the United States. By innovatively introducing MasR as a third target in addition to GLP-1R and GCGR, XTL6001 features a differentiated triple-target mechanism whose potential benefits extend beyond the body weight and metabolic effects generally associated with GLP-1-based therapies to kidney protection. The group is developing XTL6001 for weight management in people with obesity or overweight, proteinuric CKD and MASH. As demonstrated previously at ADA 2026, XTL6001's preclinical and Phase I clinical data show potential in weight management, metabolic regulation and kidney protection, including reductions in body weight, waist circumference and serum uric acid and improvements in lipid profile; in preclinical kidney disease models, it also showed reduced urinary albumin and improved kidney function-related parameters.

The company believes that, after the XTL6001 research results were presented at ADA 2026, their subsequent selection for oral presentations at EASD 2026 in weight management and CKD/DKD, and a poster presentation at ASN Kidney Week 2026 in hyperuricemic nephropathy, marks another important milestone in XTL6001's development, further highlighting its differentiated development profile beyond weight management and the potential kidney-protective effects of its innovative GLP-1R/GCGR/MasR triple-target mechanism, distinguishing it from conventional GLP-1-based therapies. This announcement is voluntary, aimed at keeping investors informed of the group's latest business development, and contains no advertising or intention regarding the use of any drug, surgical device, treatment or oral product.
