NewTimeSpace News: On 14 August 2026, Pony AI Inc. (stock code: 02026.HK) issued a voluntary announcement, announcing the expansion of its partnership with Uber Technologies, Inc. (Uber) to deploy over 2,000 robotaxis in Europe. The scope of the partnership will expand from the existing commercial service in Zagreb, which is set to go live on the Uber platform, to four additional European cities, and the expanded partnership also includes plans to deploy robotaxis in the Middle East.

The expanded partnership provides a clearer path to commercialization at scale for the Company's co-built fleet model, which integrates three core capabilities required for large-scale robotaxi operations: L4-level autonomous driving technology, a leading mobility platform and day-to-day fleet operations. This enables technology, platform and fleet partners to collaborate within the same market, with each party able to play multiple roles; depending on market conditions, the capital contribution and ownership of vehicles can be assumed by different partners. According to the announcement, the Company will provide L4 autonomous driving technology, passenger experience and operational expertise accumulated through its multiple large-scale robotaxi deployment projects in China; Uber will provide customer reach through its leading global mobility platform, including booking, payment and customer service capabilities, combined with its expanding human driver network; and day-to-day fleet operations can be handled by established local fleet partners selected for each market.

The partnership between the Company and Uber dates back to May 2025, when the parties first announced plans to bring the Company's robotaxis to the Uber platform in international markets. In 2026, the parties partnered with Croatian mobility company Verne to launch Europe's first commercial robotaxi service in Zagreb, with Verne serving as the local fleet owner and operator. The Company believes that the expanded partnership with Uber marks a further evolution of its growth strategy, complementing continued entry into new markets with region-scale fleet deployment.
